I find this whole thing quite confusing. I should have realized that its NOT a router issue per say, because I'm typing this from my Vista PC upstairs, using a wireless USB stick.
I just went into the router from upstairs PC and copied the info listed for the linux box downstairs, its as follows:

Not sure why its showing as ethernet, but thats apparently part of the problem.
