Yes, near the end of the episode there are scenes of it working.

I really can't say doing what, it's kind of an e-mail+encrypted IM, doesn't look like any application I know of.

But, what I did notice was how snappy and fast it looked... :)

Well, I think you guys should check it yourselves, not a bad series either...
